Yulin is a PhD candidate supervised by Heejung Shim. His research interests concern the computational statistical modelling of omics data. Previously, he completed the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in mathematics and statistics at the University of Melbourne.
Yulin is currently involved in two research projects, one regarding designing a computational wavelet-based factor model for spatial transcriptomics data, and the other on leveraging AlphaFold protein structure predictions for protein phylogenetics.
