Dr Tom Kimpson is a research fellow at the University of Melbourne. His current work focuses on multi-scale modelling in biological systems.

Dr Kimpson completed his PhD at University College London in theoretical astrophysics. After his PhD he undertook positions at the University of Oxford, where he applied machine learning and information theory techniques to numerical climate modelling, and the University of Melbourne, where he continued his research in gravitational wave astrophysics.
