Lu is a PhD student co-supervised by Trevor Lithgow and KJ Goh at Monash University, and works on the telocins’ secretion from the telomere-phage host strain.

She completed her Master’s degree in Pharmacology at the Institute of Clinical Pharmacology, Peking University, where she worked on the drug resistance mechanisms of Gram-negative bacilli.
