Dr Feiqi Cao completed her PhD in Computer Science at the University of Sydney.

Her research interests included explainable artificial intelligence, visual question answering, multimodal learning and pretraining. She has collaborated with the Sapienza University of Roma on multimodal LLM research, and the Congenital Heart Alliance of Australia and New Zealand (CHAANZ) for heart disease detection. She will work towards applying deep learning techniques on the phenotype modelling for the bio-chemical processes (such as mRNA degradation, transcription) inside yeast cell and discover unknown patterns from the high-throughput genomic data.
