Eoin Martyn Rando is a PhD student supervised by A/Prof Robyn Araujo. He is fascinated by how abstract geometric ideas can help explain the intricate behaviour of living systems. His research sits at the intersection of algebraic geometry and the study of Chemical Reaction Networks (CRNs).

Eoin’s mathematical interests are broad, spanning the deep connections between algebra, geometry, and dynamics. Through his PhD, he hopes to explore how these ideas can be brought together to understand the structure and organisation of cellular processes — and to uncover the beauty that emerges when mathematics and biology meet.
