MACSYS Maths Modellers’ Workshop

This Workshop brings together MACSYS researchers doing mathematical modelling.  It will involve a lot of hands-on modelling in order to explore synergies and further develop collaborations between the groups working in these areas.

The workshop will focus on:

• Membranes
• Nutrient transport
• Metabolism

Day 1 – Thursday, 9 October

• 10:00 – 11:00: Welcome & Introductions, organisation of groups
• 11:00 – 15:30: Problem solving and discussion groups
• 15:30 – 16:00: Recap of discussions
• 18:00:  Optional dinner (own expense)

Day 2 – Friday, 10 October

• 10:00 – 10:30: Organisation of groups
• 10:30 – 15:00: Problem solving & discussion groups
• 15:00 – 16:00: Wrap-up: future plans & synergies

Notes

• There is no internal access to the School of Maths from the Western end of the Lawrence Centre.
  Please use the centre or east wing entrance.
• Morning/afternoon tea and lunch will be provided on both days.
